CALGARY SURGE AND ZENO RENEWABLES ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR TITLE PARTNERSHIP

February 22, 2023 – Zeno Renewables (Zeno) will be the Official Title Partner of the Calgary Surge through the 2023 and 2024 seasons in a one-of-a-kind, six-figure annual deal, the team announced Wednesday.

"We are proud to welcome Kai Fahrion, Gursh Bal, and all of Zeno Renewables into the Calgary Surge family as our Official Title Partner for the next two seasons," said Calgary Surge Vice-Chairman and President Jason Ribeiro. "At our launch event in October, I asked our city's leading entrepreneurs and executives to think about which company names would appear on screens as Surge games are broadcast across the nation. Zeno answered that call. Together, the Surge and Zeno are committed to building a more vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable Calgary," continued Ribeiro.

Zeno is a leading solar solutions company that installs high-quality solar panels and sustainable energy solutions on homes. Led by Co-Chief Executive Officers Kai Fahrion and Gursh Bal, Zeno has ambitious plans to install solar solutions on 1 million homes by 2040. Since its inception in 2015, Calgary-based Zeno has been focused on creating a more sustainable planet and giving back to the communities it operates in.

As part of the two-year Title Partnership, the Zeno logo will be featured on all official Calgary Surge New Era player jersey kits beginning in the upcoming 2023 inaugural season. Fans can expect Zeno to be a mainstay presence on game days at WinSport Event Centre and across all Surge online channels. The Surge and Zeno will also partner on year-round initiatives that support each organization's volunteer and philanthropic activities across Calgary.

This news of a Title Partnership comes after the Calgary Surge recently announced the hiring of their first General Manager and Senior Advisor. These announcements will be celebrated at an evening community event on March 2, 2023, at the Genesis Centre.
